This Privacy Policy explains how Don Mr. App, also referred to as the "App," collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We collect only the information necessary to operate our service effectively:

  • Phone Number: For account creation and login.
  • Profile Info: Name, State of residence, short bio, and up to 4 uploaded profile pictures.
  • Device Info: Device type, operating system, and Firebase Instance ID (used for analytics).
  • Chat Messages: Text-based messages you send and receive (stored securely on Firebase Firestore).
  • Subscription Status: To manage access to the App. We do not store or process payment card information. All billing and subscription transactions are handled securely by Apple App Store and Google Play.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Authenticate your identity via phone number.
  • Display your profile to other users.
  • Match you with users of the complementary app.
  • Deliver real-time chat services.
  • Analyze usage for app improvement (via Firebase Analytics).
  • Process payments and verify your subscription status (via Apple and Google).

In rare cases, we may access and review content (such as messages) to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, or comply with legal obligations. We may also share data with law enforcement if required by law. In such cases, access is strictly limited to authorized personnel and only for the purposes described (safety, abuse investigation, or legal compliance).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data with:

  • Firebase (Google): For authentication, chat, analytics, and data storage.
  • Apple/Google: For in-app subscriptions and billing.

All data transmissions are encrypted in transit and at rest. We share data only with trusted service providers (such as Firebase) strictly to operate and improve the functionality of the app. No personal data is sold to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time via the App, which will remove your profile, photos, and chat history from our database. Some information (such as fraud prevention records or legal compliance data) may be retained for a limited period as required by law.

Depending on your U.S. State jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access or correct your personal data.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Object to certain data uses.

Our App is intended for users based in the United States. 6. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Additionally, as noted in our Terms of Service, all users must be at least 18 years of age to register and use the App.

7. Security

We use TLS encryption, Firebase Security Rules, and other industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure.

Your messages are transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in our databases with encryption at rest, as provided by our infrastructure provider, Google Firebase. We use access controls to ensure that only authorized users can send and receive messages intended for them.

While messages are protected during transmission and storage, they are not end-to-end encrypted, which means that in rare cases (e.g., abuse reports or for operational needs), authorized system administrators may access message data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat messages. By using our messaging feature, you consent to this form of data handling.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or email.
